Monarch Healthcare is recruiting for a Registered Nurse (Nights) to join our dedicated team at Ferndene Care Home in Gainsborough, DN21. At Ferndene, we offer care and nursing support to older adults and individuals living with dementia.

Registered Nurse (Nights) Position details:

  • Hours: Full time hours are available
  • Shift Times: 19:45-08:00. We work on a rota basis which includes alternate weekends and some bank holidays

Responsibilities: As a Registered Nurse at Monarch Healthcare, your days will be varied and will include:

  • The formulation of person-centred care plans – Reviewing and updating of care plans to reflect client need, ensuring Care Plans are completed and maintained in consultation with Clients, Relatives and other Health Care Professionals, and in accordance with NMC guidelines and Company policies.
  • Administration of medication – Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with the Company’s procedure and NMC guidelines.
  • Monitoring of resident well-being – Report any ill health amongst Clients and make requests for GP and Professional visits where necessary.
  • Supervision of the care team when acting as the nurse in charge, ensure a clear and concise handover report is given to all relevant Staff Members at the end of each shift.
  • Liaise with Healthcare professionals

Maintenance Person responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Person at Croft Care Home, you will complete day to day maintenance on the fabric of the building, its services, and grounds to ensure the care home is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order. In addition, responsibilities can include:

  • Carry out repairs and decoration to the home as required and ensure the maintenance of the care homes exterior
  • Report any known defects in appliances, furniture, equipment, and other potential hazards to the Manager, and action as needed
  • Monitor the fire panel daily, reporting any faults showing whilst testing the fire system on a weekly basis, recording in the fire log
  • Ensure all fire exits remain tidy and free from clutter, and complete visual checks of all fire safety equipment, as specified in the company policies and procedures
  • Liaise with and support visiting contractors and deliveries
  • Keep ventilation units and lights clean and well-maintained, and test appliances and equipment as needed.
  • Test and record water temperatures on a weekly basis
  • Store products correctly and in line with regulations
  • Maintain records of all required daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly checks
  • Undertake training to support you and enable you to complete the required testing and checks

Monarch Healthcare are recruiting for a Learning and Development Trainer to work across our homes, Rutland Manor, Kingfisher Court, Poplars Nursing Home and Croft Care Home. As a Learning and Development Trainer at Monarch Healthcare, you will support Home Managers to coordinate training needs, whilst ensuring staff members complete relevant training within the required timeframes. You will deliver training, maintain competency assessments and provide support to employees during the completion of the care certificate.

Position Details:


Hours: full-time, working 40 hours per week, however we are looking for someone who can be flexible with regards to working hours, as the position may require work outside of the agreed times to meet business needs, and can include weekends and night observations.
Pay rate: £32,000-35,000 pa - dependent on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will need to be able to self-manage and work holistically at a fast pace, prioritising and managing their workload whilst working in a professional manner. Requirements:
• Level 3 Health and Social Care

Desired:
• Relevant teaching/training qualification
• Previous experience in PBS training would be advantageous
• Experience in a training or senior care position within a healthcare setting
• A good overall knowledge of mandatory training subjects

Learning and Development Trainer responsibilities:

The main duties include, but are not limited to:
• Support home managers with staff training and development needs, ensuring training meets the required completion rate
• Coordinate and facilitate the learning and development of all staff
• Deliver training
• Conduct observations and supervisions to advise staff teams accordingly and identify further training needs
• Support employees during the completion of the care certificate, reporting progress to the Home Manager on each visit
• Manage a schedule of work and report this monthly to the Training Manager
• Prepare reports for the training manager as required
• Contribute to new staff inductions as requested
• Attend training meetings to discuss progress and needs
• Provide feedback to the Management team as required
