Registered Nurse Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse at Monarch Healthcare, your days will be varied and will include:

  • The formulation of person-centred care plans – Reviewing and updating of care plans to reflect client need, ensuring Care Plans are completed and maintained in consultation with Clients, Relatives and other Health Care Professionals, and in accordance with NMC guidelines and Company policies.
  • Administration of medication – Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with the Company’s procedure and NMC guidelines.
  • Monitoring of resident well-being – Report any ill health amongst Clients and make requests for GP and Professional visits where necessary.
  • Supervision of the care team when acting as the nurse in charge, ensure a clear and concise handover report is given to all relevant Staff Members at the end of each shift.
  • Liaise with Healthcare professionals

Registered Manager responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, motivate, and support a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring person-centred care to all residents. Develop staff through regular training and supervision.
  • Client Assessments and Care Planning: Conduct assessments of residents to ensure their needs are identified and met. Collaborate with the staff team to develop, implement, and review care plans, promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
  • Compliance: Ensure the nursing home complies with all relevant legislation, regulations, and internal policies, including health and safety, safeguarding, and data protection.
  • Budget Management: Oversee and maintain budgets
  • Governance and Reporting: Complete and oversee all necessary governance and management reports, ensuring accurate documentation of care activities, incidents, and regulatory compliance. Communicate effectively with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and families.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements whilst fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake any other duties required to support the effective running of the nursing home, ensuring a safe, caring, and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Worker at Monarch Healthcare, you will complete day to day maintenance on the fabric of the building, its services, and grounds to ensure the care home is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order. In addition, responsibilities can include:

  • Carry out repairs and decoration to the home as required and ensure the maintenance of the care homes exterior
  • Report any known defects in appliances, furniture, equipment, and other potential hazards to the Manager, and take action as needed
  • Monitor the fire panel daily, reporting any faults showing whilst testing the fire system on a weekly basis, recording in the fire log
  • Ensure all fire exits remain tidy and free from clutter, and complete visual checks of all fire safety equipment, as specified in the company policies and procedures
  • Liaise with and support visiting contractors and deliveries
  • Keep ventilation units and lights clean and well-maintained, and test appliances and equipment as needed.
  • Test and record water temperatures on a weekly basis
  • Store products correctly and in line with regulations
  • Maintain records of all required daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly checks
  • Undertake training to support you and enable you to complete the required testing and checks
