Poplars Nursing Home, based in Burton on Trent, is a converted care home providing quality accommodation and specialist care facilities. We pride ourselves on ensuring all residents receive individualised care from a dedicated team of carers and social activities support workers.

Services within our home include:

  • Accommodation for 60 residents in separate houses around the home.
  • Specialist care for people with dementia, nursing, or residential needs.
  • Permanent, respite and day care package, tailored to each person’s requirements.
  • Extensive range of dining and relaxation rooms and areas.
  • Beautiful, light and spacious environment in a character building.
  • Courtyard garden and spacious grounds including a large decking area.

We believe everyone has the right to receive excellent care that is designed to suit their individual needs. That is why we personally select every member of staff for their positive attitude and enhanced skillset. Our staff training programme ensures high standards are consistently met.

Personalised activities & experiences to remember

Our designated Activities Co-ordinator provides a social and therapeutic activities programme that’s aimed at stimulating physical and mental functions. We get to know each of our residents to ensure there’s something on offer for all to enjoy.

Nutritious meals

Meals at Poplars are all home cooked using fresh, seasonal produce. Our menu is prepared by our cooks, taking into account any dietary requirements, and of course catering to the residents’ favourite meals.

Family & Friends are welcome

We strongly believe our home is indeed the resident’s home and openly encourage family and friends to become part of our extended family. Relatives are encouraged to join in with activities either virtually or, when possible, in person.
