Croft Care home – April Newsletter
As the days grow longer and spring begins, the team have been making the most of the season at Croft Care Home in Burton on Trent. March was filled with trips out, delicious treats, and moments with loved ones. Here’s a look at some of the wonderful activities our residents enjoyed over the past month.
The start of Spring – Daffodil season arrived, bringing with it a splash of colour and creativity as our residents made their own daffodils using cards to shape the flowers. This fun activity not only brightened the care home but also supports hand-eye coordination. The joy of crafting together made for a wonderful way to welcome the new season!
Pancake day fun! Pancake Day is always a favourite, and this year was no exception! Everyone had a fantastic time indulging in delicious pancakes. From classic combinations like banana and cream to choices including chocolate spread and maple syrup, everyone enjoyed getting creative with their toppings.
A Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea
We were blessed with beautiful weather on Mother’s Day, making it the perfect occasion for an afternoon tea in our conservatory. The best China was brought out, and residents, along with their families, enjoyed a selection of delicious cakes and biscuits. However, the highlight of the day wasn’t just the tea and treats—it was the opportunity to spend time with family and making lasting memories.

Spring is the perfect time to get out and about, and three of our residents recently enjoyed a shopping trip. They took a leisurely stroll, enjoying the fresh spring air and the simple pleasure of being outdoors. Their outing was topped off with a sweet treat, making for a perfect day.
We love seeing our residents enjoy these special moments, and we look forward to many more wonderful activities as we step further into spring. Upcoming activities include our Easter Fair, Mini Animal Zoo and a Coffee Morning.
Stay tuned for more updates from Croft Care Home!
