Festive Celebrations Across Our Care and Nursing Homes in 2024

The holiday season of 2024 was filled with joy and festive spirit across all our care and nursing homes. Each home celebrated Christmas in its own way, creating special memories for residents, staff, and visiting families. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from our homes:

Haddon House Nursing Home – Clowne, Derbyshire 🎄

• Residents enjoyed a heart-warming Christmas carol service with the Salvation Army, paired with delicious mince pies.
• A delightful visit from Children 1st Nursery, where the children sang festive tunes.
• A fun-filled Elf Day brought laughter, games, and the opportunity for our dedicated team to dress up!
• We were grateful to receive beautiful Christmas cards from Ashgate Croft School.
• A special Snow Day featured winter-themed activities, creating a magical atmosphere for all.

Heeley Bank Care Home – Sheffield ✨

• Heeley Bank hosted their annual residents’ Christmas party, where everyone enjoyed a lively mix of Christmas songs and a tasty feast prepared by our talented kitchen team.
• Our creative staff took part in the Deck the Doors competition, with all offices decorated to perfection. Residents judged the decorations, and our HR Administrator was chosen as the winner!
• Residents were treated to a performance by Lady Lindy, who sang Christmas songs and brought holiday cheer to the home.

Autumn Grange Care Home – Creswell 🎅

• The festive season kicked off with a Christmas fair on December 7th, featuring a Santa experience, Christmas Eve box supplies, and fun games like “Pin the Carrot on the Snowman.”
• A generous donation of a beautiful Christmas tree adorned our reception
• Residents were treated to carol singing by Creswell Junior School and the Clowne Salvation Army, spreading music and festive cheer.
• The Whitwell Brass Band visited, and residents enjoyed hot drinks, sherry, mince pies, and a raffle.

Pinxton Manor Nursing Home – Pinxton, Nottingham 🎁

• A playful Elf on the Shelf kept everyone on their toes throughout December.
• Residents enjoyed a fun trip to the village hall for a sing-along with Ellie, followed by a visit from Ellie at Pinxton Manor.
• A cosy coffee and crafts session had everyone making their own Christmas tree decorations.
• Residents also visited a local school for a nativity play, bringing back cherished memories.
• A special baking session had residents making Christmas chocolate pastries.
• Singing with the South Normanton Choir, along with carol singers from a local school.
• A heart-warming intergenerational playgroup allowed residents to enjoy the company of children, families, and friends.

Woodlands Care Home – Ripley ❄️

• December began with laughter as residents enjoyed a Christmas pantomime, setting a joyful tone for the season.
• The Christmas fair brought the community together, offering festive treats and fun activities.
• A visit from Ripley Squirrels packed an hour with games, colouring, musical statues, and singing with our residents.
• Our residents had a great time baking and decorating festive buns.
• A lively Christmas party featured entertainment from Emma at Kiddley Divey, a snowball fight, and an appearance by one of our dedicated care assistants dressed as Mrs. Claus.
• The season wrapped up with creative Christmas crafts and carols, filling the home with festive cheer.
