November Newsletter – A message from Croft Care Home

Welcome to the Croft Care Home newsletter for November. November is here and the countdown has begun to the Yule festivities, but before that, we have a lovely autumn month of celebration and solemn remembrance. October was full of excitement, and we always appreciate the help we have during any events we hold. The Halloween Bingo was a great success thanks to our residents and families.

Here’s a look at some of our recent highlights.

Biscuit baking

Using a special secret recipe from Sue in the Croft kitchen, we created cookie masterpieces! Topped with Oreos, chocolate fingers and Biscoff crumbs, they were certainly a teatime treat.

Singing with Peter

Everyone at the Croft loves a good sing-along! Peter and his wife, Carol, delighted us with their wonderful performance, featuring music from the 1940s onward—there was something for everyone. We’ve already booked them for December, and the residents are eagerly awaiting their return.

Croft activities

Pumpkin fun

The residents had a great time carving the pumpkins for the Halloween festivities. They especially liked the gloopy seeds and even tried a couple to eat.

Halloween at Croft Care Home

The staff’s children joined residents for our annual Halloween party. Apple bobbing, witches brew, mask making and plenty of sweet treats made for a fun filled afternoon.
