Stanton Ilkeston Football Club talks Play Safe
At Stanton Ilkeston Football Club, the U10 Scorpions team, proudly sponsored by our company, recently stepped up to make a difference by creating a video in support of the FA’s Play Safe weekend. This important initiative, which focuses on safeguarding in football, aims to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved in the sport, from grassroots players to professionals.
While safeguarding is a year-round priority for the FA, the Play Safe weekend serves as an annual reminder, putting the spotlight on awareness and education. This year, the dedicated weekend took place on the 28th and 29th of September 2024.
What is the FA Play Safe Campaign?
The Play Safe campaign is a nationwide effort designed to educate players, coaches, parents, and volunteers about the importance of safeguarding in football. The goal is to create an environment where all feel safe, respected, and protected. You can learn more about this on the FA’s official Play Safe webpage.
How the U10 Scorpions Are Making a Difference
The U10 Scorpions and families took the initiative to create a video, sharing their thoughts on what play safe means to them and the positive impact it can have. Their message underlines the importance of staying safe whilst having fun, making it clear that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility—whether you’re a player, coach, or supporter.
As a sponsor, we are incredibly proud to support a group of young players that are committed to such an important message.
